Topic Notes
Current Progress – The initial phase of my project, which focuses on increasing awareness of childhood vaccination in rural areas, has been successfully completed.

– Significant achievements include gathering data on vaccination rates and initiating a community awareness campaign in collaboration with local healthcare providers.

Challenges Encountered – A key challenge has been the limited availability of reliable data from some remote areas.

– To address this, we have partnered with local clinics to improve data collection methods and accuracy.

Progress on Practicum Goals Goal 1: Increase awareness of childhood vaccinations by 20% within the first three months. Progress: Achieved a 15% increase so far.

Goal 2: Develop and distribute educational materials to at least 10 rural communities. Progress: Materials have been distributed to 7 communities.

Feedback and Recommendations Preceptor’s Feedback: Commended the progress and suggested focusing more on digital outreach to cover areas that are hard to reach physically.

Instructor’s Feedback: Recommended organizing a mid-project review with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and gather additional insights.

One drawback reported has been lack of information sometimes obtained from some of the remote locations. To deal with this, we have engaged clinics within our locality to work on improving the methods of data collection as well as the reliability of such data.

As far as practicum goals are concerned, there has been recognizable improvement; In as much as Goal 1, which targets raising awareness in childhood vaccinations to 20 percent within the first three months has not been fully realized, present statistics show that it has been enhanced by 15 percent.

As for Goal 2, which is to develop and distribute at least ten educational material that will be disseminated to at least ten rural communities the findings show that seven out of the ten materials have already been distributed to the communities.

NURS FPX 6030 Assessment 1 Conference Call Scheduling and Notes

After giving words of appreciation on the progress the preceptor advised them to increase their coverage on the digital platforms because, there are regions that are hard to access physically. Thus, based on the suggestion of the instructor, it would be appropriate to arrange a meeting with all the stakeholders to discuss the progress of the project and obtain more information halfway through the project.

As a result of the call, the following action items were agreed upon: improving the digital promotion choices, holding a discussion with the stakeholders in the middle of the project, extending collaborations with local clinics for improving the data gathering practices, observing consequences of distributed informative materials on inhabitants’ vaccine acceptance. The practicum benefited greatly from this combined conversation to gain feedback and specify future initiatives for the practicum’s future developments.
