Practicum Setting

Confirm settings and schedule hours

Student will encounter practicum in acute care; she has not been on hours yet. Due to her availability, the scheduling will be based on it.

Role of Preceptor

Felicia to verify hours via Core ELMS.

With email prompts, Felicia will be able to confirm the entries of Baji. She can check them by logging into Core ELMS as well.

Virtual Hours

Limit to 10 hours (20%)

As many as 50 out of the 50 hours of practicum may be virtual (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Should be in-time interactions.

Assessment Submission

Submit Assessment 1 before others

The first assessment that Baji can submit is after this call has been logged as Assessment 1. After-assessments may take any sequence.

Shadowing & Activities

Use templates to document interviews/activities.

Such activities as interviews or teaching should incorporate some supporting documents that will be uploaded to Assessment 6 (e.g., interview template, presentation aids, such as Kahoot).
