The DEI principles are embedded in my clinical decision-making and patient care in the nursing practice. The principles require a constant self-reflection upon unconscious biases that can affect therapeutic relationships and the provision of care. My practice will involve the use of systematic methods to identify bias, including cultural evaluation tools and various team consultations. Researchers have discovered that implicit bias significantly influences clinical decision-making, patient outcomes, and healthcare disparities among different populations (Gopal et al., 2021). Continuous implicit bias training and reflective practice should be used in professional development to deliver equitable care.
