Pledge of Academic Honesty
All the paintings I create for this elegance and all my instructions are absolutely and indeed my very personal ones. This indicates I could be the sole creator of them. This means that, as far as I understand, those will not be the phrases, sentences, and paragraphs of everyone else, except I am immediately quoting, paraphrasing, or summarizing someone else’s writings.
Using any part of a peer’s dialogue, barring proper quotation, is plagiarism. Utilizing a peer’s talk submission as a template for my presentation and only slightly improving the terms is also plagiarism.
I can alert my trainer if any unique learner has misrepresented my paintings or the artwork of others. I recognize that everyone has a position to protect the integrity of the Capella degree we’re all working so hard to achieve.
Suppose I am quoting someone, but I’m putting off. In that case, I will add quotation marks, provide a little context for the citation, and format the quote in keeping with APA guidelines, along with both in-paragraph citations with web page ranges and an entire reference citation on the given page.
If I am paraphrasing or summarizing paintings from another source, I can cite them within the text itself and as a reference at the laydown of my artwork. While paraphrasing or summarizing, I will use terms aside from those being paraphrased, and I can modify the sentence structure.
I will review the following resources on academic honesty:
University Policy 3.01.01: Academic Integrity and Honesty [PDF].
- Maintaining Academic Honesty.
- Avoiding Plagiarism.
Suppose I use any part of someone else’s work in a way that violates any of the above statements. In that case, I understand that I will be committing plagiarism, a serious act of academic dishonesty, as per Capella University’s policies. If any instructor discovers an act of academic dishonesty, I acknowledge that the instructor will:
NHS FPX 4000 Assessment 1 Pledge of Academic Honesty
- Please get in touch with me directly regarding the alleged act of academic dishonesty.
- Allow me to respond and demonstrate that plagiarism did not occur.
- Impose sanctions, including, but not limited to, zero points for the unit, a failing final grade, etc.
- Report the violation of academic honesty to Capella University by its educational policies.
If I have any questions about this pledge, I will contact my instructor before signing it. By typing my full name below, I acknowledge and agree to comply with all the rules outlined above, which are consistent with Capella University’s academic policies, effective as of this date.
