The desire to get into the nursing field is fuelled by a deep-rooted desire to make a lasting impression in the most critical moments in the lives of individuals. When I was a child, I saw how members of my family dealt with their health challenges, and this experience demonstrated how effective a compassionate and skilled doctor can be when addressing patients and their families. I was particularly touched by the medical staff and caregivers who went beyond clinical care and treated people emotionally, giving them emotional counseling and advocacy in situations when they needed the most help. Based on the insight by Florence Nightingale, who noticed that patient care is a matter of science and creativity, nursing requires total commitment, where the training is as intense as that of an artist or a craftsperson (Lima et al., 2022). To reach the artistic excellence of this field, health workers have to be willing to engage in strict preparation and constant development. The medical profession offers a unique chance, and I will be able to use my competencies to facilitate healing, prevent disease, and empower people to deliver the best health outcomes. In my nursing career identity, I focus on my role as a caring advocate and research-based clinician who ensures that the patient is well-known throughout every aspect of his or her life. My efforts will focus on Patient-Centered Care, treating all patients with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity, and maintaining greater standards of medical care. My core nursing values include integrity, caring, lifelong learning, and collaborative work with patients, with a focus on patient safety and excellent outcomes. As defined by the American Nurses Association, healthcare practice means protecting, promoting, and developing health and functional capacity (Naegle et al., 2023). My primary goal is to provide Patient-Centered Care that not only involves physical needs but also emotional and psychological comfort. I strive to become a nursing student who constantly pursues education, becomes innovative and reliable to patients, families, and coworkers towards health and recovery. DEI principles have a substantial influence on my practice in healthcare since they ensure that each patient has access to Cultural Competency in Healthcare and equitable care, irrespective of their background. Different views and opinions empower nursing teams and enhance patient outcomes by improving the knowledge of different cultural needs and experiences. Equity is the reason why I am also committed as a nursing learner to make sure that every patient has equal access to quality healthcare tools and treatment opportunities. Being an inclusive person implies that I will take an interest in listening to the individual histories of patients, be aware of possible biases, and adjust my communication style accordingly. According to Liu et al. (2020), cross-cultural proficiency is the ability to work with ethnically diverse people. Embracing diversity creates a more welcoming medical environment where each of the patients feels valued and understood. Through continuous self-reflection and learning, I will be able to eradicate disparities in healthcare and promote social justice in all my professional relationships. I expect to encounter serious academic challenges in the program that will require great organizational skills and interaction of theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience. The intense coursework will require critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and the acquisition of advanced clinical reasoning. I anticipate experiencing difficulties in learning complicated healthcare principles and upholding high academic performance and professional skills. Since Lytras et al. (2022) pointed out that experience is a requirement of expertise, but not every experience is a learning experience, I envisage the emotional stresses of the clinical experiences, such as experiencing human suffering and patient care. Moreover, I am also likely to acquire good communication skills, leadership, and the ability to engage effectively in Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration and cope with the ever-changing healthcare environment. The main point of my objective is to acquire the most sophisticated clinical skills, which will enable me to deliver outstanding patient care in a variety of healthcare facilities through Evidence-Based Nursing Practice. In the academic field, I expect to achieve high academic performance in courses, conduct great research, and graduate with honors, as well as establish a good background in lifelong learning. I want to develop leadership traits, which will enable me to become a strong advocate for patients, guide future workers in the healthcare field, and make a difference in the improvement of healthcare policies. Sumpter et al. (2022) state that the future of the nursing profession relies on nurses who undertake advanced education and graduate degrees. My career goal is to become an expert in one of the fields of healthcare, have a higher level of certification, and finally become a leader in healthcare institutions. I aspire to leave a positive legacy on patient outcomes as well as the nursing profession in terms of excellence, innovation, and caring. NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 3 Ace your NHS FPX 5004 Assessment 2!
