    1. What motivated you to pursue your chosen field of study?

    Eagerness to assist others in applied ways has been the first factor that made me consider joining the nursing profession. I lived my life observing how handy, well-educated nurses were in some of the most threatening moments of the life of a person. Nurses occupy the center stage of healthcare provision, in the encouragement of the unhealthy, as well as the advocacy of the patient’s requirements, or reassurance of the families of the patient. As I proceeded with my work in nursing, I observed the fact that I had to possess a higher degree of knowledge and leadership skills to be able to advance patient results and make a difference in the bigger healthcare setup. The master’s method of nursing will allow me to become a better clinical rationalist, better leader, and effective patient and community advocate. I also feel motivated by the fact that I can work to improve myself both on the personal level and on the professional level, and hence, I will be competent and caring in serving others.

    1. How do you define your professional identity? What are the core values, beliefs, and goals that guide your work?

    My professional identity is guided by the notion that I am going to be an accountable, empathetic, and integrity-driven nurse. The core values of nursing that I utilize in my work are listed below, including the values of compassion, human dignity, ethical practice, and patient-centered care. I believe that every individual needs to have safe, quality, and fair healthcare regardless of his or her background or situation. I also believe in teamwork and clear communication, as I am aware that success in nursing practice is premised on the principle of teamwork and respect for a colleague. I would like to offer evidence-based care, promote the needs of patients, and enhance the overall quality improvement in the healthcare context. Lifelong learning is also significant to me as a master-level nursing student because the nursing practice is dynamic, and research, technology, and healthcare policy continue to advance in the given area.

    1. How do you think DEI influences your attitudes, beliefs, or actions as a professional?

    My career as a nursing professional is severely influenced by the forces of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). These values prompt me to consider my bias and keep in mind how social, cultural, and systemic aspects of patient health and care accessibility. DEI makes me develop the opinion that equitable medical care cannot be achieved by treating people similarly, but by accepting and eliminating individual needs and barriers. This, practically, implies active listening to patients, the value of cultural diversity, and efforts to guarantee a fair treatment system. DEI also determines the way I relate with my colleagues, as it creates inclusiveness, respect, and cooperation. DEI will allow me to provide more comprehensive, ethical, patient-centered care as a nurse and help create a healthcare environment valuing all voices and experiences.

    1. What are some of the challenges or expectations that you anticipate in this program?

    My anticipation regarding this master’s program is that I will have an academic challenge, and I will have to manage and maintain good time and discipline. It is sometimes hard to balance professional responsibilities, personal responsibilities, and coursework. I also expect a challenge of intellect, particularly when dealing with higher levels of clinical concepts, leadership theories, and practice-based evidence. It is possible to experience self-doubt along the way, as I will be used to new expectations and new academic standards. However, I believe that these obstacles are the drivers of development. In my opinion, this program will contribute to the development of critical thinking, confidence, and leadership in me. I would also like to engage in deep conversations with peers and faculty members because the introduction to varied points of argument will help me become a better nursing practitioner and a future leader.

    1. What are the personal, academic, or professional goals you hope to achieve through this program?

    I also hope that through this master’s degree program, I will have time to achieve some personal, academic, and professional goals. On the academic front, I would like to have a solid base in the advanced knowledge of nursing, application of research, and leadership concepts. This foundation will also strengthen my ability to critically evaluate evidence-based practices in clinical settings. Regarding my career path, I would desire to expand my practice scope as well as be willing to practice in a leadership or advanced practice role in which I would be able to positively influence patient care and the results of healthcare services. The other area that I also want to improve on is that of becoming a patient advocate, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and driving a policy or organizational change. I would personally like to improve as a nurse leader and become more confident, resilient, and self-aware. Lastly, it is a promise of turning into a better, competent, ethical, and compassionate nurse, and having the ability to become a competent and empathetic nurse at a high level.
